WHAT IS DROPBOX?

Dropbox (www.dropbox.com) is a fantastic file syncing utility. Create a file on one computer and it will “magically” appear on all your other computers and mobile devices with the Dropbox client installed. Even if you dont buy Notesy you should get yourself a free Dropbox account anyway.

Pros and cons of Notesy for Dropbox app for iPhone and iPad

Notesy for Dropbox app good for

Notesy for me is a simple and good way to manage my notes. I can easily search for a specific file. I can edit a note using Markdown (which I use for all my notes), and the editor interface is not great but has nice features such as the extra keyboard row. I dont use the Markdown preview feature much, so I cant talk about it.
I tried all the simplenotes, plaintexts, elements... in the AppStore but nothing comes close to Notesy!
I love the app itself, the dead simple functionality is well worth the buck. but Im not terribly pleased by the look of the app or even its icon. Id prefer either a simple white or something a little fancier than just solid texture backgrounds.
Minimalist and does what it says. Rjdt has a point... I would like to see auto detection of information incorporated somewhat.... Oh and adding video and picture support would be nice. Nice job!
The major selling point for me here is how fast this app is at work. Its speedier than all other Dropbox-based notes apps Ive used, and its also quicker than Simplenote on my 3GS. I do think the icon and the bottom bar of the notes view could use a bit of work, though. The icon feels too cartoony for my tastes (despite the playful app name) and the notes view bottom bar could look a little more professional (Elements from Second Gear has some fantastic buttons). However, if youre just after functionality, then Notesy will not disappoint. Oh, and did I mention its really fast?
This app is awesome! Id been using plaintext for a while now, but always had syncing issues with it... Notesy Has a far better syncing system, and is a very fast loading/functioning app! The only thing I would ask for would be folders, but the dev says theyre coming in a future update! Also, to all the reviewers who said they didnt like the look of the app, all it takes is a couple if seconds tinkering with the settings to customize the look of the whole app.

Some bad moments

"Full offline support... although youll need to visit subfolders before changes in those folders will be synced." So if I create a note in some folder being in subway, I colud get collision or simple lose the note?!! Cannot move notes into other folders! (?!!)
Title says it all. iPads built in text app wont read .txt or .log files and neither will this pile of fail. Why am I bothering?
I dont normally write reviews, but Notesy IS the perfect text editor. Works great when used alongside nVALT and Dropbox.
The addition of the enhanced keyboard row was great, further establishing Notesy as my go-to text editor.
Only a few feature requests: 1. To be able to swipe my thumb from left to right on a note to return to the list. The back button is kind of a pain to reach in the upper left corner. This is a common problem on most apps though, not just Notesy. 2. Add Source Code Pro and Avenir fonts. 3. The "View Info" pane strays a little too close to brushed metal. Might be worth revisiting the design of the info pane. Anyway, great app. By far the best Dropbox syncing note taking app Ive ever used on the iPhone.
I love how the same txt files are synced w/ my PC, and vice versa, via dropbox. I use Notesy for my main shopping list, to-do list, favorite URL links, all my account usernames and passwords, resume txt copy, whatever, and its great that this app is also password protected too. Notesy is one of my favorite apps I use everyday of my life.
